 A Special Place
For People

Troy, Ohio USA offers the best of both worlds. . . all the benefits and security of small-town America and we are just minutes away from three of Ohio's largest cities. Dayton is 15 minutes south, Cincinnati is 60 minutes south and Columbus is 60 minutes east.

First settled in 1808, Troy is widely recognized for its "can-do" community spirit. We always say . . . "Troy, Ohio where civic pride is community wide" and that is evident in the educational system, extraordinary community parks and recreational facilities, well-kept neighborhoods and growing cultural amenities.

The Troy Public School System is widely recognized as one of the better educational systems in Ohio and for that matter, in the entire country. Expansion magazine has awarded the Troy school system its highest ranking each of the last three rating periods. Our parks and recreational facilities are unsurpassed by any other community our size. We have 25 community parks with a total of 1,300 acres and we are currently building an 89 acre nature preserve in the middle of town.

While Troy is a modern city. . . we are proud of our past and the traditions that have developed over the last two centuries. Hayner Cultural Center, Overfield Tavern, Hobart Arena, Brukner Nature Center are just a few of the examples that contribute to the unique character of our community.

Today, Troy is a thriving community that is proud of its past, but focused on building an even better future. We have a solid economic base of large, medium and small businesses. Honda, Hobart, Goodrich, ConAgra, ITW, F & P America, Faurecia, Clopay, Spinnaker, and AMETEK all have operations in Troy ranging from corporate headquarters to manufacturing to distribution. In the last three years, industrial investment has exceeded $365 million.

Retail shopping opportunities continue to grow at a rapid rate in Troy. . . we have several shopping centers and in the year 2005 our Chamber Ambassadors conducted nearly seventy ribbon cuttings celebrating new businesses in our community.

Come visit TROY, OHIO USA. . . you will find a community that is open, receptive and ready to meet new friends.
