THE ORGANIZATION — The Troy Area Chamber of Commerce is the voice for business advocacy operating with a 19-member governing board. This board approves all of the Chamber’s actions, programs and activities acting on recommendations from the Chamber’s committees, councils or task forces. The Board of directors and the professional staff of the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce invite you to become involved in the progress of “Troy, Ohio USA”.

THE MISSION — The mission of the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce is to enhance the quality of life in our area through the promotion of economic vitality and growth; the stimulation of a favorable business environment; the advancement of free enterprise system; and to serve as a forum for contemporary issues affecting the region.

The Troy Area Chamber of Commerce, originally the Troy Community Boosters Club, had its beginning in 1934 when the members of the club decided that their objectives could be better accomplished through the development of a true Chamber of Commerce. Records indicate that the first official board meeting was held June 27, 1939, and on August 31, 1944, a Certificate of Organization Membership was issued for Troy Chamber of Commerce, Ohio by the United States Chamber of Commerce.

The Troy Area Chamber of Commerce takes great pride in the quality of life Troy provides to all who live and work here. Troy boasts a strong economic environment, and an exceptionally high quality of life, with a highly rated educational system, an abundance of parks and recreational facilities, a strong sense of public safety, cultural amenities and a community that truly cares.

The first full weekend in June, the fountain on the square turns pink in celebration of the Troy Strawberry Festival.
