Dedicated to advancing the priorities of Miami Valley manufacturers, the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to be collaborating with the Covington, Piqua, Tipp City, and Sidney-Shelby County Chambers of Commerce to form the Miami Valley Manufacturing Council. With direct input from our manufacturing members, the Manufacturing Council was formed to support, educate and assist manufacturing and industrial companies while promoting and enhancing a positive business climate in the region.
The goal of the Manufacturing Council is to foster a vibrant manufacturing climate as well as provide a forum for networking amongst peers. The Manufacturing Council will offer an opportunity for management team members to come together, communicate, and build mutually-beneficial partnerships. Through peer collaboration, the Council will enable participants to share expertise in resolving manufacturing related challenges.
The Council will meet monthly on the third Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to Noon. Each month a manufacturer will host a plant tour and share information pertaining to their specific business. In addition to the tours, both Edison Community College and the Upper Valley Career Center will host one meeting each per year at which they will present a keynote speaker.
Small, medium and large manufacturers are invited to participate. The target audience for the Miami Valley Manufacturing Council includes CEO’s, plant managers, production supervisors and operation managers. As a value added benefit to members of the Chamber, there is no fee to participate.
