Troy Senior Citizens Center Celebrates 60 years

Recently The Troy Senior Citizens Center celebrated their 60th anniversary. The center was incorporated in 1962, with the original building once being the golf house/shack that was donated by the Hobart Brothers. The Senior Citizens Center had their 60th anniversary celebration this September on the 13th with a food truck, around 150 people in attendance, and lots of fun. Their current goal/mission is to be “A Playground for Seniors” where you can meet with others to “play”.

There are so many things that the center offers: crafts and exercise classes, book clubs, bridge/bingo, festivals/bazars, holiday events, and even manicures/haircuts from Creative Images Institute of Cosmetology. And those are just a few things that they offer! Currently they have members that attend regularly, and new members are always welcomed. Folks 55 and older can “try out” the center with two free visits to check out events, and then can choose to join if they want. They have a Fall Festival Event coming up for members on October 21st that will have food and lots of fun.

So feel free check out their website to see their newsletter, “Senior Moments”, and calendar for upcoming events, programs, and support that is offered at the center. So, feel free to check out the center located at 134 N. Market St. Troy, OH 45344.

Just come on down and play!
